The ForumA bilateral working forum

Eastern Europe and the Eastern Caribbean. One shared goal.

From 1 to 8 November 2026, film professionals from Poland and Saint Lucia meet in Castries. The Forum is co-created by both sides: a Polish delegation working with the Audio Visual and Film Association of Saint Lucia (AVFA) and Sir Arthur Lewis Community College (SALCC).

Each country brings its region to the table. Poland brings the film traditions of Central and Eastern Europe, Saint Lucia the stories and talent of the Eastern Caribbean. Both gain partners, audiences and know-how they could not reach alone.

At the centre are a three-day working conference and a masterclass for SALCC film students. The last two conference days are hybrid, so partners across Eastern Europe and the Eastern Caribbean can join without travelling. The working language is English.

The goal: by the end of the week, a plan for working together in 2027 and 2028.

Twelve students. Three mentors. One film each.

Every student arrives with a finished two-minute film, shot and edited before the session. In the room we discuss the films together and work on the edits together.

The final versions are published on the Forum platform, credited to each student by name and to SALCC. They are the first public output of the partnership.
